Gerard
Gerard is Victor's Father. He was the leader of the Agouti village until he stepped down to let his son take over. He is secretive, proud and wise. Fiercely devoted to his family, he watches Victor closely to guide him away from danger. He believes his son is too trusting and too innocent. This is due to his own guilt, because his own actions lead to the death of his wife, and scarred his face.
Gerard is very close to his family, in particular his Grand-Daughter Nakia as she shares his same firey spirit and understands him very well. Beyond his family, he only has one friend Gino, but has the respect of the entire village. his guilt blinds him to this, so he often feels like an outcast.
Gerards strong bond with animals made him a natural for falconry. His favorite bird and friend is Abade who he adopted as a hatchling, and raised. Abade seems unaware that shes to heavy to jump on people.

Abade
Abade is the bird friend of Gerard. She was rescued as a hatchling and immediately bonded with Gerard. She wasnt expected to get as large as she is, and continues to grow. No one knows how long she will live because though shes already lived for 20 years with Gerard, she still behaves like a playful hatchling seemingly unaware of the fact that she is quite heavy and throws her weight on people.
