Commissioning

To begin, you will need to have a good idea of what you would like to commission. before you go to the form, please very clearly plan and write out what you would like. include links to references as much as possible and be clear in your descriptions. "his ebony locks flowing gracefully around his shoulders" is a very poor description, instead say "Black hair, down to his collar bone, and please make it flowing in a gentle breeze" When you have a description, please also have in mind what medium you would like it in, and be aware of the price. To get a quote, simply fill out the Order Form.

Ordering

When you submit your Order, I will review your order and email you back with a quote. I will do the initial sketch, and email you a watermarked version. You should request any changes at that point, and no later. I expect half of the payment before proceeding with the rest. Once payment is cleared, I proceed to the final product. When I am done I show you a watermarked version of the final product, then when the final payment is recieved I send you not only a highres version through email, but I will mail the original to your address. Shipping cost varies, and no work will be delivered without full payment. I keep documentation of all corospondence.

Prices

The prices for my work varies depending on cost of tools. you can see a list of my mediums, how I use them and what I use on the Tools of the trade page. The pricing listed is based on "per square inch" pricing. "PSI" stands for "Per Square inch" and "ws" stands for "White space".
To calculate an approximate cost: Take your desired size, (9x12 inches for example) and x the width by the height (9x12=108) 108 = how many square inches your final desired size is. You simply take your square inches and x by the price.

Framing

I do have an option for framing. If you'd like to ask about prices on framing or matting, please do so in the text fields on the Order Form. Please be aware that there are standard framing sizes that will be readily availiable, but if you want a non-standard size, there will be a custom framing charge. (8.5x11 would be a non standard size, wile 8x10 is.) Please consider this before submitting. for flat pieces (on paper) I can sometimes reduce fost by getting a custom Mat, and a standard frame size. This will have to be discussed in the ordering process. I can also do only a mat if you prefer. The matting is a back mat, with a hinged front mat. the prices will vary depending on colour and size preventing an actual quote in the order process, but once I've got your description, I can take your information to get a rough estimate on framing cost.

Additional Lino Prints

With Linocut, and other forms of block printing, the work is carved onto a block, so the ability to create multiple prints is availiable. There is a charge of $5.00 for each additional print created. If you want framing for multiple prints, I can offer a 10% discount on any frame identicle to the first frame except on custom framing. Please note: although block printing is printed from the same block, the image will vary slightly in colour, texture, and with variations of the paper printed on.
