Founder - Head of the Comics Department
My name is Jeri "Kitty" Weaver and I'm a comic book artist/illustrator from British Columbia Canada. I'm the writer and artist for the majority of the comics we've had here, including Fish socks and Daqueran. I maintain and update the site, prepare works for printing andcreate graphics.
Off Gk, I'm a freelance/commission artist, doing mostly comics and book illustrations/ covers. Aside fomr the occassional commissions I'm currently completing a 5 page teaser comic of Torn From Grace that will be appearing at the Comic and Pop art Expo (C.A.P.E.) in Dallas, Tx. I am also working on a childrens book series ( 2 books) where I will be doing the cover art and interior illustrations, as well as the cover art for a another book of poems and short stories. Possibly I will be doing illustrations for another book shortly as well. I've also done logo and graphic design, as well as some sculptures and websites.
I've also worked as a Program Assistant in Vancouver Film School and as a Production Coordinator for Monkey Paw Media (Chaotic, Skunk Fu, Edgar and Ellen) as well at other administrative and design jobs.
My interests are mainly in Fantasy and pre-history. I'm a dinosaur buff and you'll notice Daqueran reflects those two passions with Dragons and prehistoric creatures and sceneries. The Dragons and creatures in Daqueran commonly resemble Dinosaurs or creatures from earlier periods as far back as the Cambrian Period. Daqueran also has a strong fantasy element in both the plot and scenery.
