The Phantom

The story

The graphic novel is based on the Novel "Le Fantôme de l’Opéra" by Gaston Leroux which is a horror/Drama story based on a disfigured man that is talented in music helping a young opera singer become a diva.

In this adaption, Erik is a man struggling with a world turned upside down by events entirely out of his control. Erik has it all until a plot by a brother and the superficial ignorance of the town conspire to ruin everything Erik has and loves.

Currently the Novel is in it's third and final re-write and only has some concept art available, not all of which are still accurate to the designs and characters that will be in the finished story.

The Characters

Erik Dubois, Christine Daae, Raoul and Sedigh (the Persian) are the most prominent Characters of the book. The Opera house managers, Carlotta, Meg Giry, Madame Giry and others are also to make appearances but may not however be as influential as the original book or other adaptions since the book has a much less musical presence. There are also new characters that will be introduced.

About the Novel

The story will be printed as a three part series saddle stitched.

The Magician

Sequel? Prequel?

There was more work for a prequel called "The Magician", however yhe project has been dropped.
The original plan was to later release this to explain how Erik had come to the state he was in and had connected to the ending of the original draft of "The Phantom", which at the time was too long to include the past in one book.
At this point we have been to be able to include some of the original concepts reserved for this book in the Phantom novel and combine both so that there will be no need for a sequel.
"The Phantom" may also inherit the title "The Magician" instead due to the change of story and many of the concepts.
